The Island of St. John

U.S. Virgin Islands

St. John is the smallest of the 3 islands in the USVI.  For U.S. citizens, you will not have to pay customs fees.  You do not need a passport but if you have one, bring it- makes it faster getting through the airport. If yo udo not have a passport, a government-issued photo ID will suffice.

Fly into St. Thomas (STT)

To reach St. John, you fly into St. Thomas, taxi to Red Hook, and take the ferry to St. John.

Cozy Island

The island is about 8 miles long and 3 miles wide.  We don't have an airport, traffic light or any franchises.  It's like going back in time.

Perfect Beaches

Our beaches are pristine.  Most of the island is part of the U.S. National Park and is undeveloped.  Please help keep our island beautiful and clean.

Where Summer Never Ends

The average high during the winter months is  82° with a low of  70°.  The average high in the summer months is  88°.

Other Tips

We drive on the left.  Greet people with a "good afternoon" and then proceed.  Please be covered if your toes are not in the sand.

Covid Travel Portal

Our Governor recently announced that he is removing many of our restrictions on Feb. 28.  Stay tuned for info.  Currently, to enter the territory, you must have a negative Covid test (rapid or PCR) within 5 days of travel.  Register and enter results in our travel portal to make things nice and easy at the airport.
